Day 31- 3rd April (PICNIC FTW!)
Guess what, I really did burn the oil last night man! Charmaine and I were busy crashing and crashing our AON till about 3. So we only turned in then. Do you think we have the next morning to rest since it’s Saturday? :) NO, YOU’RE WRONG! We had to gather at 0830 again because there’s an outing organized by the school. We’re going to the museum and East lake!

I woke up at 0630 after having about 3 hours of sleep. Charmaine, Eline and Meowlin too. We woke up so early because we had to prepare lunch for ourselves for the picnic at East Lake ;) We were egg-cited! I think we’re super smart because we managed to cook sausages and egg sandwich without a kitchen and kitchen utensils!

It was a busy busy morning. We woke up so early already but were still late! :{ Hence another fine of 10 RMB. Never mind, it’s worth it anyway. The bus ride was about half an hour or so. At the entrance of the museum, there’s this checkpoint which is similar to the one at the Airport where your belongings will be scanned. Strict huh :\

So we toured around the different galleries on our own. Majority of them are artifacts found buried with famous people (Zhen hou yi) in the past.
We were given an hour and a half before we had to gather again.
Bronze ladle

Bronze shovel

Bronze dustpan

Bronze spoon

Moving on to the gold section...

Gold utensils

These jades are buried with the body in the mouth and skull of the corpse. Those found in Marquis Yi's tomb were of ox, sheep, pig, dog, duck and fish shape!

Umbrella? ;\

And guess what!!

LOOOOOK! It's been like years since i last saw a seating toilet and napkins!

热血! 7 of us bought the same shirt ;)

The East Lake is less than a 5 minutes ride away from the museum. I was quite looking forward to this trip because Ms Grace mentioned to us before that the scenery there is really good. Furthermore, we’re going for a picnic! :D So the tour guide brought us to a pavilion to settle down. As we came all prepared, we choose to sit on the grass patch instead! We lay our plastic sheet, spread our food and tidbits and we were all ready to eat ^^

After about an hour, we decided to walk around and explore the place since there was still time before the meeting time. The view of the vast sea and blue sky was just awesome! Something I find peculiar is that the water level is actually on par with the ground!

The tour guide mentioned that the depth of the water is very deep, so we aren’t allowed to play any water activities :( We so wanted to try the boat!! So we just walked around and we saw a mini theme park. Took rides there, played games and all. Soon it was 130 already. We didn’t want to pay another fine of 10 RMB, so we walked as quickly as we can/ even run to the entrance!
All these are satay sticks accumulated by people who just throws them there :{

Our tour guide who has been with us from Yellow Crane Tower to 3 gorges to Wudang Mountain to today!

It was only about 1430 when we reached the school. We had nothing else on for the rest of the day already. I do not know what day is it, but everyone decided to do a makeover to their hair that afternoon! All of us said before, we’ll do something to our hair before we leave. And today is the dayyyyy! ;@ Sihao just mentioned that he wanted to do his hair today, and everyone else decided to follow too. We were recommended to the salon YES I DO at the uber bug shopping mall. The 7 of us then took the Bread Car over. We reached, and searched for this salon.

We got there in no time ;) When we saw that they had so many customers till the point that after washing their hair, they had to stand and wait for seats. They take turns to occupy the seat and not like how it works in Singapore- when you have that seat, it is yours. So you have to have your belongings with you. But they do have lockers for you to store your bag ;) The entire salon just looks so grand and classy. It is probably one of the top few hair salons here in Wuhan. I hesitated when I was outside the shop. I was worrying if my perm will not turn out like how I wanted it to; or that the hair style wouldn’t suit me :( But thinking about the price as compared to in Singapore, and I’d like to try out a new hairstyle, I just went for it! ;O

Not only were there many customers, but the number of hair stylists and workers there are a lot too! The ratio is not very proportionate :\ Something I noticed is that all the stylists there are male!! There were two people that played with my hair. One is the stylist, and the other helped to perm my hair. The working style is somewhat different from Singapore’s. There will be a group who solely are in charge of perm/dying/ straightening while the stylists are only responsible for styling and cutting. If I’m not wrong, other than the stylists, the rest do not have a scissor with them :x Unlike in Singapore where most workers are all rounder, where majority of the times one will be in charge of everything. The changing of our hairstyle process took about 4 hours in total! We reached the salon at close to 5 and we left the place only at 9 ;O
After our hair makeover!

It is now 2309 and I’m rushing for time because we have something planned tonight for our dearest Chairman, Tan Si Hao! I shall end here and go get prepared. Stay tuned :D
