Day 15- 18th March (Project presentation)
Presentation day has finally arrived! :) I’m quite satisfied with the result despite not being able to meet up often within the limited time given. All 21 of us are working with new people, but from the presentations presented, it doesn’t seem so. It looks like they’ve worked together for a very long time, and knows each other’s working habit so well that they are so well coordinated. I say this because their presentations are all really well done (:

Presentation ended at close to 12? Ms Neo released us early so that we could go get the necessities we need for tomorrow’s 3d2n on cruise and rest for the night. So the usual 7 of us, decided to go to Wal-Mart to buy our stuff since they have everything there. We flagged for a ’Bread car’ that is parked outside our school.
This is being called: 面包车

There will be a queue of these cars along the road, waiting for a big group of people who wants to travel around. This results in high convenience and accessibility. It is best for us, since we do not really know the way around. If we were to split into 2 taxis, it’d be more dangerous as we’re in smaller groups, plus there’re 2 Malay classmates.

We reached Shopping Mall, where Wal-Mart is located at, in no time. We were starving! So we decided to try the Pizza Hut here. The pizza flavours they have here are different and special from the ones we have over in Singapore. The desserts and drinks served are mouth-watering :D We ordered 3 big pizzas and 1 small one. Our stomachs were overloaded by the end of the meal. It costs 500+ RMB in total, which is only about 100 SGD for 7 of us.
Looooook! Don't they look delicious?! You have to try them! Heh.

Went to shop for our stuff aftermath. We spent around 2hours getting what we needed. It was already evening by then. As it was not possible for us to find a ’Bread car’ in the middle of the road, we split and took 2 cabs. We flagged for many cabs and all of them said that they don’t go there. We were getting frustrated as we wonder why. Then, we realized that we are flagging from the wrong side of the road. The drivers here do not want to go a big round and that’s why they reject us. I think they finds it a hassle? If this happens over in Singapore, I think the drivers are more than happy that you’re travelling further! Hahaha. Managed to reach our hostel safely, without the help of the local students at all :)
Returned to our dorms and munched on snacks as I was still quite full from lunch at Pizza Hut. As I’m typing this post, I’m packing my belongings and preparing myself for tomorrow. As what I’ve heard from my mates and students of the previous batch, the condition of the rooms in the ship isn’t that good and is far from expected. Well, however it is, it will still be a memorable experience (:

Reflection
Today was a short day and time passed really fast for me. Presentation alone took up the entire morning already. It is my first time presenting in front of these group of friends and it felt a little awkward at first but got better at the end :) Besides that, it is the very first project our group did together. We did split and appoint our tasks fairly and I feel that our cooperation’s not bad. ^^ It isn’t easy for us to meet up at specific times as we’re all from different cliques. Different group of friends go to different places at different times and we won’t be able to estimate our return time. Now, we’re not talking about going from NgeeAnn to Clementi. But instead, places that we’re unfamiliar with. Therefore, being able to complete our project with satisfactory result makes me feel that we have good team work ;) Well, I hope that our subsequent projects together will get better and better! (:
As mentioned about the Bread car, I think that it is very convenient and functional for the public to travel around. With so many parked outside the school, a bigger group of friends can fit into one and move around easily. It may be cheaper than taking taxi and definitely much more comfortable than taking the public bus! This isn’t a bad idea after all. However I believe very few Singaporeans are willing to take up such jobs.
