Day 12- 15th March (Slackxzxz ;])
Of the 11 morning spent in Wuhan, today's the best! It is because i managed to go for a run, finally. As i used to run every day when i'm in Singapore, after i come here for a week and have not don't any exercise, i feel very uncomfortable ;/ Planned to go running to the stadium opposite our hostel at 7 with my other friends. My first ever experience jogging in the cold! It couldn't feel any better, i swear. So refreshing, so energized :D There were quite a lot of people doing their morning exercise there too and i noticed that most of them just wear jeans ;o It shouldn't be the way right!

Time seem to pass so slowly when you wake up early huh. Went back to shower before going to class at 9. It is China's history again ;{ But this time round, it is more interesting as the lecturer introduce to us places of interests and where to get nice food :)

Hehehe, lesson ended at 12. Headed to canteen to have our lunch.
吊锅饭, if directly translated means hand carry rice (?) I find it special and unique as i've never seen it in Singapore!

The portion of rice they give never fail to be enough for a glutton! P.s. No offence; i'm just trying to describe that it's a lot! I think it is for the students to eat more so as to keep themselves warm? ;x Returned to our dorms thereafter to continue blogging and complete assignments. Managed to catch some rest before Ji long suddenly called to say that he and Chao ran was going to treat us to dinner as they've gotten scholarship for their excellent results! So we just went to a small restaurant nearby to have dinner with his room mates as a call of celebration.
Ever since i stepped onto the plains of Wuhan, i haven't watched a single show on television! I think i'll be lagging behind when i return to Singapore D:

Look at the delicious dishes! :
The fried banana is super nice! Damn addictive, i swear.

After that, Meng Jie brought us to visit their dorms which is out of school. Their rooms are limited to a certain number of watts and if they exceed the amount, a blackout or fire may occur. So, if they want to use the hair dryer, they have to go all the way down to the 1st floor, where the common plug is. There is a row of washing machine that is shared among the students of the whole block. But they still have to pay 3RMB :[
For them to store hot water. They have to run up and down just to get hot water. There's no lift and they live on the 6th floor!

Reflection
I finally know why China are so strong in their sports! In school, i'll see a group of elderlies playing table tennis whether the weather is cold or hot! And there'll be a large group of students playing badminton at the courts after school and weekends. Just this morning, i see many people jogging and doing morning exercises. It is not the matter of whether they are excelling in it or not, but it is the passion and interest they have in doing sports. It's a really good practise! :)
After today's lesson, all the more i find Singapore very small :[ Just Wuhan's population alone is more than double of Singapore's. Their lakes, rivers and bridges do help to make them proud of their country! Also, Ms Grace revised with us about the story of 古琴台, Lute Platform. Now, i do have a better understanding about it as i did not manage to catch the tour guide's explanation due to the crowd and limited time.
I heard from the local students, Meng Jie, that it is a tradition to cheers with everyone at the table during dinner. So we just did as they told us to earlier on. Unlike in Singapore, we normally do this only when it is someone's birthday/ wedding or special occasion. But they do this at every dinner! :O Well, it's something interesting anyway :) I'm happy for Chao ran and Ji long too, for achieving such good results!
Though they may be living in the hostel for a long period of time,i think we are more fortunate than them. First, there's no air conditioned nor heater in their rooms. Second, they are not allowed to use the electricity for other purposes other than charging. Furthermore, the electricity in the hostel will go off automatically at 2330! So you will have to stop whatever you're doing by hook or by crook. This restrictions exist maybe because of safety reasons (prevent accident) or health reasons. (want them to sleep early)
